Vacation and Start of the holidays

Hi everyone! Here I am on vacation… and still working—lol! Today we’re heading to a bead show in Novi, Michigan, so be on the lookout for some fun, fresh, and creative creations coming your way soon! I haven’t felt this relaxed in a long time. Meeting my best friend in real life and escaping all the stress and chaos back home has been the best gift I could give myself. Even the bags under my eyes are shrinking! 😂 As much as I’d love to stay here forever, my sweet Muffin is still waiting for me back in Wisconsin. 🐾 This trip has been just what I needed—especially with the holidays creeping up fast. I’m hoping this season will be even busier and brighter than the last! If you have any feedback or questions, feel free to reach out—I’d love to hear from you Until next time… goodbye and take care! 💜 Dawn The Crazy Cat Lady

PODCAST GRADUATION AND SUMMERTIME

It’s Been a Minute… But I’m Back! Hey there, crafty crew! I know it’s been a little while since my last blog post Spreading a Little Joy—One Egg at a Time! This Easter, I had the absolute joy of donating some fun prizes and crafty goodies to a local daycare’s Easter egg hunt—and let me tell you, it felt so good to give back. The event was held to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, a cause that’s incredibly close to my heart. Knowing those little eggs and prizes helped bring in support for such a meaningful mission? Pure magic. I heard the kiddos had a blast—tiny feet running, giggles echoing, and arms full of candy and prizes. That’s what it’s all about, right? Making memories, spreading kindness, and maybe adding a little sparkle to someone’s day (or basket!). Moments like these remind me why I love being part of a community that cares. Here's to more joy, more giving, and more egg goodies Mother’s Day prep (you know how it goes… glue guns blazing and glitter everywhere!)...

Woohoo! Happy 60th birthday to me! I have officially leveled up to "Vintage Chic" status—more valuable and full of character! Big shoutout to all the Aries and Taurus folks celebrating too—may your cake be huge and your candles few! And let’s not forget, Easter’s hopping in soon, so time to stock up on chocolate before the bunnies beat us to it. Plus, mark your calendars—April 16th, you're hitting the podcast airwaves like a rockstar! So much excitement, I might need a nap just thinking about it! And as you can see, I have a brand-new logo—because even logos deserve a glow-up! It’s fresh, it’s fabulous, and it’s ready to take over the crafting world one bead at a time. Move over, Mona Lisa—there’s a new masterpiece in town! Oh, this podcast is going to be a wild ride—buckle up, folks! From the chaotic journey to Crazy Cat Lady Crafts (because let’s be real, all the best ideas come with a little bit of madness) to the struggles life throws at us, and how crafti...

HAPPY ST PATRICK'S DAY

Oh, you bet your lucky shamrock I’m writing a blog about fun St. Patrick’s Day facts! Get ready for a pot of golden nuggets, from why St. Patrick’s original color was blue (what?!), to how Ireland once banned pints on Paddy’s Day (gasp!). Stay tuned—this blog is going to be more festive than a leprechaun at a céilí! St. Patrick’s Day was historically a "dry holiday" in Ireland because it was considered a solemn religious feast day. Alcohol Ban: From 1927 to 1979, Irish law prohibited pubs from opening on March 17th due to the holiday's religious significance. Who Was Affected: Bars and pubs across Ireland were legally required to close, though hotels were sometimes exempt. Change in 1979: The ban was lifted, and pubs were allowed to open, reflecting the shift of St. Patrick’s Day from a strictly religious occasion to a more festive, public celebration. Since then, St. Patrick’s Day has become a major cultural and international event, widely associated with parades, public...
